In support of the celebration of the International Anticorruption Day declared by the United Nations every 9th December, a fun run is being organized this coming Sunday, December 9, 2012, by the Office of the Ombudsman in Mindanao, in collaboration with the Ehem! Anticorruption Network (which the Arrupe Office of Social Formation [formerly SICO] through its Atenista Ako, Maligdong! program forms part of), the Association of Resident Ombudsmen in Government Agencies in Region XI (AROGA XI), and the People’s Action Against Corruption (PAAC). The fun run will commence and end at the Ateneo de Davao Matina Campus Oval. The assembly time is at 4:30 in the morning.
The fun run carries the theme “Takbo ng Mamamayan sa Tuwid na Daan,” where runners can participant either in the 3K race or 6K race. Expected participants in both races will be coming from different government agencies/offices, the private sector, religious, academe, and nongovernment organizations (NGOs).
Registration fee is PhP 50.00 for students and PhP 100.00 for adults. The different registration sectors are listed as follows: For government sector, it is at the office of the Association of Resident Ombudsmen in Government Agencies in Region XI, or AROGA, c/o Ms. Luz J. This fun run serves as the culminating event of the year-long celebration of the 10th year anniversary of the Ehem! Anticorruption Movement, kicked off at the Ateneo de Davao University Finster Auditorium on 29th February 2012, and attended by close to two hundred participants coming from different government agencies, local government units (LGUs), private institutions, NGOS, people’s organizations (POs), academe and other sectors which comprise the anticorruption network.
