The Arrupe Office of Social Formation is the social formation arm of the Ateneo de Davao University.

It is responsible for developing students, and alumni; faculty, non-teaching personnel, and administrators to be leaders, AdDU sui generis, in the service of the marginalized and vulnerable in line with its commitment to a faith that does justice, following the teachings and examples of Christ and the spirituality of St. Ignatius.

I N S P I R A T I O N

The Arrupe Office of Social Formation takes inspiration from the 28th Superior General of the Society of Jesus, Pedro Arrupe, SJ.

Today our prime educational objective must be to form men-and-women-for-others; men and women who will live not for themselves but for God and his Christ – for the God-man who lived and died for all the world; men and women who cannot even conceive of love of God which does not include love for the least of their neighbors; men and women completely convinced that love of God which does not issue in justice for others is a farce.
