(IDS), Davao Association of Colleges and Schools (DACS), Davao City Water District (DCWD), City Agriculturist’s Office (CAO), and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (City CENRO) will be having a Lunhaw Awards search project starting this year. It will be citywide search for good practices from individual households or communities which contribute to a green and healthy lifestyle.

By valuing these initiatives, we seek to encourage a culture of environmental preservation for the sake of ourselves, our communities and the future of our city. By showing initiatives, we popularize them and demonstrate that green living is possible.

A maximum of fifteen awardees will be chosen from the 3 districts of Davao City to receive the award; five awards will be given per district with a prize of PhP 5,000.00 per awardee and a bag of organic goodies.

In line with this, may we ask you to nominate successful environmental projects among your students and school personnel, either individually or as a group, or among adopted communities which you believe are deserving to be recognized through this Lunhaw Awards.
